Happy New Year!
I’ve been on a self-imposed hiatus. It’s been weeks since I
last wrote anything of substance. I’ve also been fairly quiet on social media,
lurking more than participating. I was missed by some and I appreciate those
who actually reached out to inquire if I was well. It’s nice to know I was
missed.
The holidays were difficult this year. I was going through
some things. I am still struggling to find balance and regain a sense of
normalcy. But it’s a new year and my head and heart are in a new place. I've
got high hopes for 2015 because going through some things showed me what I am
capable of withstanding. It spoke to my strength and resilience and reminded me
that there can be no testimony without a test.
But I’m back and I've got work to do. There’s a deadline
looming and I’m only 1000 words in to the book. Then there’s the marketing for
my next series. The first book, Playing with Fire, will come out in February,
and of course, Romance Slam Jam is mere weeks away in March. I've got a long
list of things I must accomplish and toward that goal I’m staying busy. And busy
is a very good thing.
I have some lofty goals and in this moment I can genuinely say
that I feel 2015 is going to be a very good year. I wish everyone much joy and
prosperity and I pray that this year will be a very good year for you as well.
